The blog is now completely different. I'll be using it to vent, reflect, hopefully in an entertaining way. I now work at the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant in security. I am no longer the FOP National Trustee. What a difference three years make, eh?
I currently work security at the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant.
For 12 years I was the National Trustee of the Fraternal Order of Police, Minnesota. I live in Maple Grove, MN with my Wife,my Beagle and my Cat. I retired in January 2010 as a Sergeant at the Minnetonka Police department, where I worked for 20 years. I eat meat and vegetables, and wear leather shoes.
I know that there are a lot of you that may have never even met me, so here's a summary: I was born and raised in Minnesota - growing up in Woodbury and Minnetonka. I went to Hamline and the U of M. After college, I started a career in sales, working for Courier Dispatch (a lot of you may remember that company - especially you Minneapolis guys who worked traffic in those days). I started as a Reserve Deputy for Ramsey County in September 1983. I was licensed part time in 1985. I went to skills in 1987, and started with Orono PD in October of 1987. I started in Minnetonka in January of 1990. I have been a member of the FOP since 1996, and have served as your National Trustee from 1999 to 2011.
